How to publish hosted legal pages on Wix
Use the hosted TermsBuilder links in the Wix footer and any page or section where customers need to review policies before acting.
Before you publish
Wix lets you place links and buttons in the footer, menus, and page content, but Wix also warns that the footer should not carry information visitors must see before acting. For legal pages, that means the footer can hold the persistent site-wide link while forms and checkout flows should show the relevant policy where timing matters.
Linking out to the hosted TermsBuilder page is simpler than maintaining a copied version inside Wix, especially if you are using Auto Updates.
Recommended steps
- 1Copy the hosted TermsBuilder URL for each document.
- 2Add a footer link or footer button for each document so visitors can reach the legal pages from anywhere on your site.
- 3Add the same hosted URL near any Wix form, checkout, membership, or account flow that should present legal links before a visitor submits information or purchases.
- 4If you want a dedicated policy page in Wix, use a text link, button, or embed that points to the hosted TermsBuilder document.
- 5Publish your site and verify the live links, not just the editor preview.
Placement notes
- •If multiple team members edit your site, keep one source of truth for policy URLs and reuse those same hosted links.
- •Use the hosted privacy request page URL anywhere you invite users to find privacy-rights instructions online.
