Not Legal Advice

TermsBuilder is a software product that generates legal document drafts from pre-built templates and user-supplied inputs. It is an automated drafting tool, not a law firm, and it does not provide legal advice, legal services, legal representation, or legal opinions of any kind.

Nothing produced, displayed, or communicated through the service constitutes legal advice. This includes generated documents, questionnaire prompts and guidance, in-product explanations and tooltips, help center articles, blog posts, marketing pages, email communications, and support conversations. All information provided through the service is general in nature and is not tailored to your specific facts, business model, contractual relationships, regulatory posture, risk tolerance, or jurisdiction. The service is not a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed attorney, and you should not treat it as one.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

No attorney-client relationship is created between you and TermsBuilder, its parent company, its founders, its employees, its contractors, its investors, or any attorney who has contributed to template development, content authorship, or product design. This is true regardless of whether you have created an account, purchased a subscription or one-time package, completed a questionnaire, downloaded a document, contacted customer support, attended a webinar, demo, or office-hours session, or otherwise interacted with the service or its personnel.

Communications you submit through the service are not protected by the attorney-client privilege or the attorney work-product doctrine. Do not transmit privileged, confidential, or sensitive information through the service with the expectation that any such protection applies. If you require confidential legal counsel, you should retain a licensed attorney directly.

Nature of Generated Documents

Documents generated by TermsBuilder are templated drafts assembled from pre-written clauses, conditional logic, and the inputs you supply.

Accuracy and Changes in Law

Legal requirements, regulatory guidance, enforcement priorities, and judicial interpretations change continuously. TermsBuilder makes commercially reasonable efforts to update its templates and automation logic in response to material legal developments, but makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that any generated document is accurate, complete, current, compliant with all applicable laws, enforceable, or fit for any particular purpose at the time of generation or at any point thereafter. TermsBuilder does not warrant that any template reflects the most recent statutory, regulatory, or case-law developments in any jurisdiction, nor that any generated document will be deemed sufficient by any court, regulator, arbitrator, payment processor, app store, or counterparty.

Documents are generated based on the state of templates and logic at the moment of generation. TermsBuilder has no obligation to notify you of subsequent changes in the law, to update previously generated documents, or to re-issue documents you have already downloaded.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and truthfulness of all information you provide; for selecting the document types, jurisdictions, and configuration options appropriate to your business; for reviewing every generated document in full before publishing, executing, or relying on it; for obtaining independent legal review where appropriate; for implementing the operational practices that your published documents describe; for updating your documents when your business, the law, or your operational practices change; and for all decisions you make based on the service, whether or not you ultimately consult counsel. A privacy policy or set of terms is only accurate if your live operations actually match what those documents state, and confirming that match is your responsibility, not TermsBuilder's.
